Do people really find love on The Bachelor?

Finding love on this type of "reality" show is definitely far from reality.

I'm sure there will be diverse answers to the question because it truly depends on your perception and definition of love. Most people who are desperate to find love will find it anywhere if they put their mind to it, settle for less than they deserve and lower their standards and values. Although "The Bachelor"  is deemed a reality show it is far from reality. You could never put a group of women in a room together off of television with one man and say, "Now, fight for the man at the cost of losing all of your dignity and self-respect all for love. Most women wouldn't normally stand for that kind of environment or situation for a relationship. A man who is willing to share intimacy with that many women at one time wouldn't be a man who I could respect and love. I think the contestants will fight to win love but later find out that what they were feeling was lust, elation and false love instead. Love is something that grows and does not simply happen. I believe you can see yourself with someone and wanting to be in love with them but finding love on a few episodes of hyped up publicity, competition and drama is not where you will find love.

I don't believe people really find love I think they fantasy filled wishes that are driven by the show itself and the desperation to find a man to love them or for them to love. I believe the publicity itself is what most of the women and the Bachelor love as well. I suppose it is comparable to any of the love connection web sites that are available except for The Bachelor reality show steps it up a notch and allows for the physical reactions, responses and abilities to be intimately involved with one another escalating the process to another level. The show should be renamed "The Desperate Bachelor" and the women who will accept him. The bachelor reality show has become very erotic and more-so a play on sexuality exploiting the women physically, emotionally and mentally. It seems quite foolish watching women put themselves in such a vulnerable and embarrassing situation for what they call "looking for love". They are looking for love in the wrong place with a Bachelor who enjoys this type of arena to look for the love of his life. Personally, this is not looking for love this is looking for a reality show that fills a television time slot and not someones heart.

In closing, it seems like a mockery of the highly valued convenant a marriage should be when the show reveals an engagement and that true love can happen in that manner and time frame. Most leave with their hearts broken instead of filled with love. Women should have more self-respect for themselves and do not take part of a show that degrades and devalues who they are by desperately seeking a man that they believe will complete their life. Women should seek personal wholeness in themselves and they will find love when they least expect it and when they aren't looking so hard.
