Crochet magazines add new dimensions in learning and are a great pastime when your fingers are in need of a rest!  Current crochet magazines seem to have unique personalities and appeal to crocheters at various skill levels and interests.  Sample the variety of magazines and learn from each magazine experience. You will be thrilled with the creative ideas and volume of patterns that these printed magazines offer.

Crochet Magazine is the classical magazine for crochet enthusiasts and is widely read by novices and experts in the field.  Issued six times each year, this magazine includes advice on crochet topics and has an abundance of patterns in every edition.  A digital annual subscription service is now available for only $14.97, which allows search of two years of back issues in digital format. This is a great way to find many patterns and get tips on the techniques of the past twelve issues. Subscriptions to the online version are available at digital.crochetmagazine.com.  Before you subscribe to the print version, consider this!  Membership in the Crochet Guild of America includes a one-year subscription to Crochet Magazine.  The printed magazine alone costs $22.  The membership including the subscription costs $35 annually or $65 for a twenty-four month membership. The other benefits of membership are visible online at www.crochet.org and online registration is available.  Therefore, you have two excellent choices for current issues of this wonderful magazine.

Quick & Easy Crochet is a magazine that is about the size of a paperback book cover and filled with patterns that are, as the title says, quick and easy!   There is a decent variety of popular and trendy items mixed with classics.  If you are getting started or feeling low on patience, this magazine will kick-start your next project and you will have the satisfaction of completion in a few short hours or days.  The pattern instructions are well worded and the display photos are excellent.  This magazine is published six times each year.

Crochet World Magazine has an enormous selection of patterns.  There are so many choices!  A typical magazine may include everything from doily patterns using thread crochet to warm and fuzzy afghan patterns, to cuddly baby patterns to whimsical crocheted animal and doll patterns. The patterns range from beginner to intermediate and are mixed so you must read the pattern before starting.

Take some time to become familiar with each magazine.  In time, you will find the best fit for your crochet style and preferences.  Printed magazines are an excellent way to build your crochet knowledge and skills.  Subscriptions prices are generally $10 to $25 per year.  Magazines are also available through local libraries, crafting groups, and bookstores.
