If I die today.
If I die today what will my neighbors say?
Where will the children play?
Will women still be killed with words of hate?
Because they were born to look this way.
Will diseases like Cancer and Aids kill children who never got a chance to see.
A world full of color, love and mystery.
Will my children wonder where I went?
Will my son get the care package that I recently sent?
Will the yard get mowed, will fires be stoked?
Will my granddaughter ever be exposed to my words?
Will she hear the same calling that I always heard?
I could sit and wonder till my breath goes away.
Instead I think I will go out and make it an earth shattering good day .
I will look beyond myself and think of my sister or brother and help them along the way.
And if the dark shadows take me by surprise
I will know that time was not wasted wondering
What if I die ?

Poetry: If I die today
If I die today
I hope that I have shown in every way
How much I love them, how much I care
That my life would not be the same
If I should die today
And memories came my way
I would think of her first
She who made my heart burst
My wife and
If I die today and looked truly dead
Would someone come in and make the bed.
And while you're washing my dirty dishes
Know
Your world won't implode.
Your soul won't begin to decay
if I should die some time today.
Diseases and disharmony
will
If I die today and my life were over,
What will you remember?
Am I someone you will miss?
How will you choose to reminisce?
