Lost Transcendence
Joyous magical emotions of transcendence
Extended into corporeal interdependence
Made paradise into an earthly state
Body and mind surrendered to my beloved mate
together up an hillside in absolute ascendance
She made the horizon look so clear and bright
Horrendous tragical fears of descendence
When her cellphone turned into bait
By a shallow man I've struggled not to hate
Feeling no desire for another tomorrow
When reflections only returned sorrow
And heaven seemed doomed to desintegrate
Worldly imperfection again in abundance
Anything I've tried to do is too late
Not even able to grow feelings of acceptance

Poetry: Lost love
by Olu Burrell
I think about you when I'm looking ahead
And also in moments of reminiscence
But do me a favor and don't ask me
To tell you
The man in the jacket, walking through snow,
His faithful friend, always in tow,
Forever smiling, happy look on his face,
Whatever
So there we were
Looking up at the sky,
Together.
Truly thought
That you and I
Could storm
Any kind of weather.
I still
Do not wait for me with bated breath,
because my heart dances to and fro.
Its chambers are hollowed and empty
it longs for
As a bird perched on the edge of its nest
eyes searching the unknown world outside
strengthening its wings, yearning to fly
