Why a loving creator of the universe allows earthquakes and tsumamis of inhabited areas

We, as the two legged creatures who roam this planet, have evolved to such a state that we now think we are far more superior to our fellow creatures. We once lived in harmony with everything that grows and develops on this planet, but as we multiplied so we became greedy and wanted everything for ourselves. We took land and made it ours, to build on, farm and dig. We fenced it off so no other creatures could roam across our land. We killed four legged creatures for food, clothing and sport. Slowly but surely over time we eventually took over the most habitable parts of the planet and claimed them as ours.

In doing this we slowly lost track of ourselves and how we fitted into the great ever turning wheel. Today we do not even feel the changes that occur in mother earth. We have become deaf to her very sound, no longer hearing the rythm of her beat. We can not tell what may happen next, but wait to be informed by those who know. Then when a great event happens we are shocked and wonder at how many people have been killed in the traversty. Ultimately we blame the creator, God, for these acts and wonder how he could let his people be affected so.

We seem to forget that we have dug great chasms into mother earth, causing rifts where there we once none. We have cropped back natural barricades, which protect the land from the sea's rages. Instead we have built holiday huts and hotels close to the shore, leaving them with no protection. Then when a tsunami strikes we mourn the loss of all those who lived, worked or were on holiday in that area.

So can we truly blame the creator for this loss, or should we be looking at ourselves and our behaviour. Mother Earth is like us in that she is ever changing. The land masses are moving all the time, grinding against each other, pushing up and out. This is bound to have an effect on the tides, which will also have an effect on our weather patterns. Now I am no scientist, so to speak, but I can work these simple things out without special equipment or data gathered over years. I have learnt to listen to the weather, the animals and watch the skies at night. This has helped me to have a better understanding of why we experience strange weather cycles.

I feel immensely sorry and sad when a disater stirkes and masses of the worlds two legged population are killed, but I also spare a thought for all the other creatures who may have suffered at the same time. They may not have died, but they will have lost their habitats and food supplies, leaving them destitute and trying to avoid the two legged population who are left to clear up the mess. They do not blame the creator for the misfortune that has hit, as they will have experienced many in their lifetimes, instead they look at how the two legged creatures have treated the land and all its bounty.

We are in a time when we can make a difference to all that happens around us, so it is time we redressed the balance of things and start to live as one with everything else on this planet. I have written this piece from the heart, so it is not academic in any way. Instead I exercise my right as a free person of this planet, who has free will and free thought to give my opinion for others to ponder upon.
