Poetry: First love

by Aubrey Williams

Created on: March 11, 2010

As my love for you has unfolded

Its strength I would never have believed

As the time has slowly eroded

All the pain that made my heart bleed

Your love has healed my heart

One little piece at a time

I hope that I can do my part

Over mountains and rivers I'd climb

I want to give you the perfect world

You deserve nothing less I should think

Around your little finger I'm curled

Anytime you give me that wink

I'll be the man that you've looked for

Through all the years and the trials

You'll never have to ask for more

My love goes for miles and miles

Never in my life have I known this

A love that is true to the soul

Never in my life has just a kiss

Made my mind and heart roll

Before there was you there was nothing

I see that clearly for sure

A woman like you so giving

Our love is something so pure

So never forget. Never question

If the love that I bear you is true

I feel like I never have given

A love like this feels so new

I'll love you forever and always

These words you can always believe

I'll repeat them through all our days

And never in my life will I leave
