Most of us in the Western world especially in North America, where I am planted for the remainder of my days, have very seldom ever been unable to get a drink of water when we are looking to be quenched. How many of us stand near the sink and let the water run and run until the water comes out cooler? How many of us have been in bed and heard the nerves cracking of the drip, drip , drip in the bathroom sink ...as we try to go to sleep?

And then here comes morning, how many of us have not had water to make our morning waker upper our coffee and tea? The very thought of being without water does not cross too many persons minds, until they are without, and then, the thought processes kick in almost to the point of anxiety attack and rightfully so.

Have you ever tried to take a pill without water, paint a picture with watercolors, or wash your hair, brush your teeth all very personal grooming musts to be acceptable by those you live and work with?

Why there would be no water cooler or coffee maker, or even the large coffee shops that we all huddle too just for the sake of saying I am in, and I get my coffee here. Never thinking that without water there would be no places like this to gather and gulp.

Have you ever watched TV and would look at those little kids with huge bellies and they are crying and looking for something, like Ma-ma, food or water? Most of us have, and most change the channel too because we feel too upset with their reality.

We have a little boy in a third world country that is so cheerful because of our meager support, he has been able to have schooling, food , inoculations and clean water. Why one letter that I had received from him he was so happy because we sent him a present for one of the holidays and he wrote back to me; "Mother, I am so pleased of your gift to me. It will help our family and now we can have a toilet to defecate".

At first I was shocked that a young person this age could even use such a grown up word, but it gave me great pause to know that before that small gift one could only think of what they did for this very basic accommodation we all take for granted and with a flush of cleaner water than some of those children bathe in!

Water is considered a common and that no one has the rule over water! How about those water meters we all have in our homes? Yet, we are most assuredly going to be able to go draw a bath after a long day to relax or take a shower to revive us. How much water have we all wasted?

Rain barrels and learning how to be more green have popped up all over the web , this Internet, and we all should think of how it would be without water. It would be almost no time at all that we all would become enemies to even our closest of kin for that cool sip of water that was found under a bush that gathered in a beverage tray, and only you knew it was there.

Do you share it or do you saver it and keep your mouth shut? As there is no water either in a bottle, a tap or in our lakes and rivers that we all did not appreciate and when we could have changed the outcome, we waited to see how it was going to turn out, we all will be facing someday this dilemma and by then the change will not be reversible for the damage is done!

You as a human being must appreciate and do something and now, for as they say tomorrow is promised to no one. Do something no matter how small it will grow if it is nurtured, and it must be in this case and time don't you think?
