If you like BBQ your gonna love my recipe for "Spicy BBQ Pork Sandwiches" this sandwich has just the right amount of sweet BBQ flavor with a nice spicy kick that will make you beg for more.
Serves 8 to 10
For "Spicy BBQ Pork Sandwiches" you will need;
8-10 Hamburger Buns
3 Lbs Precooked Pork Roast Shaved
1 Small Onion Diced
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Cole Slaw
Spicy BBQ Sauce
To make "Cole Slaw" you will need;
1 Head Green Cabbage Shredded
1 Large Carrot Peeled and Shredded
1 Teaspoon Celery seed
3 Tablespoons Cider Vinegar
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1-1 1/2 Cups Mayonnaise
Salt and Pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in mixing bowl (I find my hands work best on this). For best taste refrigerate overnight.
For "Spicy BBQ Sauce" you will need;
1 Tablespoon Liquid Smoke
1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
1 Tablespoon Worcester Sauce
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
1 1/2 Cup Tomato Paste
3 Tablespoons Molasses
3 Tablespoons Vinegar
3 Tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons Spicy Brown Mustard
Add all ingredients for BBQ sauce into a heavy bottom saucepan, whisk together and simmer over medium heat until thick. In a frying pan add olive oil and saute onion until translucent, then add in the shaved pork. Pour the BBQ sauce over the shaved pork mixture and let simmer on medium high heat for 10 minutes, stir frequently. For maximum flavor serve on hamburger bun with 1/2 cup pork mixture, and 1/4 cup Cole slaw. Enjoy! Tip: for those who like it really hot 2 tablespoons of hot sauce in this will set your mouth on fire! Just a friendly warning.
