This is more of a call to scientists in the quest for the answer to the cause of Global Warming. As I am still not quite convinced about the warming effect that our cars and factories have on the temperatures of our planet, I have been thinking of a theory of sorts...
Nuclear testing of bombs has been happening on and off around the world for half a century. As I understand it, a nuclear explosion is relatively equivilant to what the sun produces on a regular basis. Multiply this times the amount of tests that were done globally over a 50 or so year period of time and it seems to me that it would have quite a damaging and lasting effect.
I tend to believe the Earth has amazing abilities to heal itself from whatever amounts of pollutants humans put into the air, although I agree humans don't necessarily have those abilities. However, setting off nuclear explosions seems to me it would created quite a scar and has had long-lasting effects that seem to be ignored, including whether or not these testings are what caused the first holes in the ozone and any subsequent damage to temperature.
