Sunshine my warm hearted fair-weather friend,
Thank you for spring buds you so gently tend.
Through the long winter, I waited for you
To wake sleeping angels and make them new.
Slowly they rise, like Venus from the sea
A million angels singing winters last eulogy.
Hidden hearts lured by your springtime sigh,
Fresh minions reaching for the sky.
There is no rest, no pause, no silence,
Just colours that explode with violence
Leaves are new on blooming trees,
Sweet scents of nectar sing to bees.
With your gentle, warm caress
You make the air seem new and fresh,
Do you feel the joy that you deliver
With each ray of your sunshine river?
Your song is an ancient melody
Beaming hope through all eternity,
Despite all the heartache life's seasons may bring,
Hope will be returning, in the spring.

Until Spring
The trees shiver in their nudity
Leaves scattered far and near
They stand silently hoping
That Spring will
