Testimonies: When you no longer value a friend

You come to that place when you change as people. Maybe someone has a baby and doesn't call anymore. Maybe someone becomes a work-a-holic. Your friend could start obsessing about the way they look, material things, or they could just start being really competitive with you.

Change is constant. As quickly as your friendship starts it can also die off. People always need others in their life at certain times to fill a void or serve a purpose. Many times, after that time has passed, there is no need for the friendship anymore. I don't think that coming to that reality is easy, but you can be sure someone else will be on their way into your life, to provide you with something new and different and more suited to who you are at that moment.

I have at least a handful of people who fit that mold. Some stayed in my life a long time and some have come and gone so quickly that I can't even remember their faces. These people lost their value when they stopped caring about being there for me. When they stopped returning phone calls or when they started only having negative things to say. When friends lose their value it can be like carrying around a sack of potatos....I say, cut your losses and move on.
