The morning is not yet here
As we gather by the mountain
Sleepy babies whimper
Children play among the rocks
Adults murmur soft words to each other
A figure raises his hands
A hush befalls the crowd
"Glory to Him on High!"
"Glory to the King of Kings!"
"Praise to Jesus who took on our sins and died for us!"
"Praise be to our Lord who died and rose again!"
"Who gave us everlasting light, life and hope!"
"Who we are here to praise today, this Holy morning!"
"Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Thank you Lord!"
People sing songs of praise and worship
With their hands held high in worship
Love permeates the air
The Holy Spirit lifts hearts up with joy
The sun rises and warms the flock
And the Son rose to save them long ago
Each and everyone who believes is saved
By the holy blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

The day has begun as dawn, the light of God fills my heart
With every breath of air such a great way for the day to
Does not every morning
resurrect the sun?
The hymns of birdsong
raise it from the grave
rolling away the tombstone
of darkness.
Mountain peaks bleed into the shadowed sky,
The only contrast is the stars, set so high.
At the tip of the day, light comes
by Gary Maclean
It’s early in the morn
The sun’s rays not yet trailing
The misty dark atmosphere
My eyesight near failing
I stumble
This morning I sit alone
Not in the Lord’s building
Among pews of worshipers
And alters where an educated man leads
