Spring sunshine is a welcome sight
The snow is melting under its stare
The ground warms to usher in life
Sunshine permeates our souls refreshing our minds
As days grow longer and the light awakens us
We become restless with work undone
Harvest to be planned and seeds planted when the time comes
To start growing under the spring sunshine

I can feel the warmth through my eyelids
I can see the orange light flickering
It's trying to pry my sleepy eyes open
I cannot
The sun ventures out,
Like a shy child playing peek-a-boo,
Peering out from behind clouds,
And then seeking back behind them
