It is commonly heard that you need to exercise in order to lose weight. Seemingly similar, these are two different concepts entirely. One might want to lose weight while the other might want to exercise. It is possible to lose weight with or without exercise. However, when you exercise, the result is not only limited to weight loss but also leads to a fit body, toned muscles and great looking skin.
How to exercise and lose weight?
Those who are obese and over- weight might find it tough to begin running on the treadmill at their first day of the gym. This is also the case with seniors or people who have entered the threshold of the health club or a gym first time in their life. It is always a good idea to begin with walking on the treadmill and trying a hand at the stationary bikes and other machines.
It is good to combine aerobics and weight lifting sessions to tone up the body. This increases the stamina for running on the treadmill and increasing the pace of the work out. It is important to do a lot in lesser time. This increases the cardiovascular functioning and you burn the excess calories shedding the unwanted pounds faster.
In order to lose weight faster with exercise, try using the machines in the gym for 20 minutes, aerobics for 15-20 minutes, weight training thrice a week and some amount of swimming. In total, try to put in a good 60 minutes of your time and you can see quick results, possibly in less than 4 weeks. It would be a great idea to relax in the sauna after the work out and shower. This helps to cleanse the colon and removes body’s impurities. The excess water weight is eliminated and results in weight loss.
Other than exercise, try to eat moderate amount of diet. Incorporate more amounts of fresh fruits and fruit juices. A variety of fruits can be blended at home including some berries which are great antioxidants and good for weight loss. Add more whole foods, grains, cereal and vegetables. Cut down junk foods to once or twice a week. Eating a high fiber and protein diet can keep away those hunger pangs. One can also incorporate a peanut butter diet with the exercise schedule and lose around 25 to 30 pounds in a year.
Exercise and lose weight for a healthy life. It also helps to ease off and keep away the stress, depression and mood swings. Regular exercise also helps to lead an active life at home and work alike. It increases the focus on work and keeps you in good mood while at home. One feels fresh as a daisy after a day’s work out. The additional benefit being the elimination of all those unwanted love handles around the waist.
