Calm, light, and breezy
Are the spring winds
Carrying the pollen soaked air westward.
The radiant petals of the hyacinths begin
To emanate in an ostentatious parade of color
Offering an alluring perennial gesture.
Gliding on the rising air
In a brevity of floatation
And devouring the solitude of the winter freeze,
The winds soar
With a new elevation
And the ice thaws with a gentle ease.
Free-wheeling walks amongst naked shrubs
As newly fluttering dragonflies flood the airways.
Hair waving on a cool ride along a mountainside
Weaving though the tendrils wrapped around the hovering branches
Of orange and passion fruit,
While the solemn pallor of winter begins to subside.
Laying in solace
Brooding over the sunset,
Sky splashed with a cool scarlet.
The candlelit reflections of the wind
Wipe away regret
And awaken the effluent scent of a new spring.

But on this day my eyes did wander,
To a curious
March has perfect weather
For the imagination
The winds are the catalyst
For my mind to dream
I just imagine I'm a kite
