If you’re wondering if it’s a good idea to promote your business with a Facebook page, just take a look for yourself.  Currently, Facebook serves over 400 million people worldwide and there are already over 1.5 million businesses that have active pages.


What does this mean for your business?  Each day, over 20 million people become fans of these businesses and altogether, Facebook Fan Pages have created over 5.3 billion fans.  The potential for Facebook to be a primary marketing venue for your business is very real.  Here are more reasons to show you how having a Facebook Page can help your business grow.


1)  Establishes Your Business Presence


With millions of visitors on Facebook, there’s a lot of opportunity to let people know what you offer.  As you begin to establish connections by sending friend invites and promoting your fan page, you’ll be strengthening your business presence one person at a time.  What’s more, not only will you benefit from having direct connections with your customers, you’ll also benefit from the connections your customers have as well.  Any activity your customers have on your page will be displayed on their news feed and as a result, will be visible to their friends.

As a Facebook user, you can obtain demographic data that you wouldn’t normally be able to get with a regular website.  Remember what you had (or have) to do just to get an email address?  Those days are over.  For example, you can find out if your fans are male or female.  You can also find out what their likes or dislikes are, their age range, and where they’re located.  You would even be able to find out a fan’s birthday.  These bits of information are gems for your business because it provides the information you need to fine tune and stream line your marketing efforts.


Having a Facebook page helps no matter how small or how large your business is.  Additionally, as Facebook continues to grow and the social networking trend continues to snowball, there will be even more opportunities for your business to benefit.
