Rooms filled with teeth

Faces so twisted they seem ugly

Like monsters hunting for my flesh

"Good job," echoes in my ears

It' all I hear

The pace of my heart in a race

Racing the clock to end it

Get me out of here

If I screamed, would they still smile

Ear to ear like stupid ugly ghosts of my friends?

No one ever told me being a mother

Would be filled with heartache

Sacrafice

Pain

Ugliness.

Memories of my children as babies play in my mind

Accompanied by a lullaby

The look in their eyes as they gazed upon my face

I was their world

Until HE

their father HE

Came back into their lives and wanted them

Twisted them

Turned them

Made them believe that they should hate me

Fear me

Question me

Beg me

"Please let us go, we want so badly to know our dad"

"Good job, such a mature decision

"They will thank you later for giving them the chance

"To get to know-"

Monster

Hate

Ugly

Dad

I hate you

I hate you all

All who convinced me it was the right thing to do

Nobody cares

Nobody listens

Nobody helps

Nobody hears my cries

Tears soaking my pillow

The world has moved on

And my heart is empty
