It was the first day of spring. The weather was sunny and warm, the gulls and pigeons were flying high above the clear blue sky. New Yorkers were engulfed in heavenly bliss with the pleasant temperature as apposed to the very cold, subzero temperature they had to endured over the past months. Happy couples walked hand in hand kissing and laughing. Others were bicycling or jogging, enjoying this wonderful gift from Mother Nature.
Walking down Central Park hand in hand, were Mauri and Egypt. They were arguably the happiest young couple in the city. Their smiles were always big and radiant. Many of their friends and relatives had complemented many times on the look of happiness that’s usually on their faces. They were particular happy on this day because it was their first anniversary.
Mauri was a tall, clean-cut, dark skinned handsome man. He wore a white tank top, baggy jeans and white on white Air Force Ones sneakers. Mauri had a well-balanced physique from spending many hours in the gym.
Egypt was a cinnamon complexioned young lady with long black hair, great gray eyes and megawatt smile. She also had nice perky breasts and sexy hips. Egypt was unashamed to show off her great body, complete with flat stomach and surprisingly sweet hips. She wore a short top, tight denim jeans and multicolor Louis Vuitton sneakers. Egypt always looked great in her apparel.
Many people stop and stared at them. Even they could see how much Mauri and Egypt were in love. One married black couple complimented how lovely they looked together. Mauri put his arms around Egypt and kissed her softly on the lips. He was so happy that she was the love of his life. The young couple found a beautiful stretch of grass and sat on a blue blanket to eat a romantic picnic lunch they packed. The sun beat down on them and the soulful R&B sound of R. Kelly blared out of Egypt’s stereo system.
Their lunch consisted of fried chicken and corn along with a bottle of Iced Tea. Dessert included fresh red grapes and strawberries. They playfully rubbed the fruits over each other’s lips before hungrily devouring it. To their surprise, there was not another person in sight.
“I can’t believe how beautiful it is out here,” Egypt expressed. “The weather is so perfect!”
“It certainly is,” Mauri agreed. “I’m glad we decided to come here and celebrate our anniversary instead of staying indoors.”
“I love this weather!”
