For a few years now I have been a member of globaltestmarket.com and this morning was pleased to receive a cheque from them, which is what prompted this review.
globaltestmarket.com is a survey site who send survey invitations to your email inbox, they can send you surveys on anything from recent car tyre purchases to your detailed thoughts about Chuba Chupps lollies.
Joining is a very easy process, to begin with you just enter some basic details and then wait for them to send you an email confirmation where you need to click a link to validate your account. My youngest daughter signed up yesterday and waited a few hours for her confirmation email so don't worry if yours doesn't arrive immediately after joining. After confirming your account you will need to spend some time filling in various profile sections, this is to ensure you receive relevant surveys so don't be tempted to skip these as frankly if you don't complete them you won't get any surveys to complete!
I recall I started receiving surveys very quickly after joining and my daughter had her first one today just 24 hours after joining, I like the fact that I don't need to keep going to the website to check for surveys as that process is too long winded for me. As it is I can see at a glance when I check my emails whether globaltestmarket.com have sent me anything and then simply click on the survey link in the email. The email will also tell me how many points I can expect to receive for the survey and come give an approximation of how long in minutes the survey will take to complete - these are never correct though and I've filled in a supposed 40 minute survey in 15 minutes and a ten minute survey can take half an hour! On a personal average I'd say each one will probably take you around 20 minutes to complete which I find is average for product and concept surveys.
As with most other survey sites there are a few screening questions before you enter the main survey, I am very lucky in that I rarely get screened out although I have heard other people complaining about this issue when talking about globaltestmarket. For most surveys they send you will get 5 points just for starting the survey so to be screened out after half a dozen questions isn't too bad. One thing I will say is that if you do happen to be screened out then this happens quickly so you won't be 10 minutes into a survey before telling you that you don't fit the profile, I have boycotted Toluna for this very reason it annoys me
