Flares like swords strong and beaming cutting through the night’s release
Over scopes of mountain and valley rising upward orange and healing
Clouds enhance the birth of spring pillowing soft her glorious advent
In luminous rays the fruitful sun of which without we could not breathe

I can feel the warmth through my eyelids
I can see the orange light flickering
It's trying to pry my sleepy eyes open
I cannot
The sun ventures out,
Like a shy child playing peek-a-boo,
Peering out from behind clouds,
And then seeking back behind them

The time of day I like best

Very dark and quiet.

The trees shiver in their nudity
Leaves scattered far and near
They stand silently hoping
