Reasons to write for freelance writing sites that pay through Google AdSense

by Ruth Belena

There are good opportunities for writers to earn extra money through the Google AdSense program, and reasons to write for freelance writing sites that pay through Google AdSense. At writing sites where members earn ad revenue through the Google AdSense program, all that is required of freelance writers is to open a Google AdSense account, if they do not already have one, and write plenty of content.

Some freelance writing sites use their own Google AdSense accounts for a percentage of page views, but there are a few sites allowing 100% use of a personal AdSense account on content pages created by each individual writer. Those sites still make money from AdSense on their index pages, homepage and other parts of the site.

Revenue sharing sites where a writer's Google AdSense account is used only for a percentage of page views still offer a big advantage for writers. This is due to the amount of traffic that busy writing sites attract, and the Google Page Rank of its individual pages. Content published on those writing sites will also be prominent in other search engines, because of the amount of web traffic and inbound links to that writing site.

• Even a 50% share of AdSense can generate more money than some freelance writers gain from publishing content on their own lower ranking blogs or websites. Productive freelance writers can easily receive regular payments from Google, by reaching minimum payout far quicker than they could do using the program only for their own blogs or personal websites.

• For freelance writers who do have successful blogs and websites it is well worth writing for sites where they can use their own Google AdSense accounts. This will increase earnings and provide valuable links back to websites or blogs from the content or the resource box when their articles are published on big, busy writing sites.

• Some webmaster forums allow members to use their own Google AdSense account, and there are collaborative blog sites where freelance writers can register to post their own content and get 100% Google AdSense revenue from those posts.

• Freelance writing sites that pay through Google AdSense cannot access the earnings in a writer's Google AdSense account. Money can only be paid direct from Google to the account holder.

Freelance writers who use the Google AdSense program to earn extra money can get more earnings in their accounts by promoting their content on another Google AdSense site. For example a page of content known as a hub on HubPages, a writing site that pays through Google AdSense, can be featured on Xomba when the writer posts a Xomblurb, a short piece of text about the content on HubPages. Because writers can use their own Google AdSense account to earn money from both HubPages and Xomba, this doubles the opportunity for making money from one piece of writing, and increases the amount of traffic to the hub from the link on Xomba.

The Google AdSense program should be used by freelance writers who want to create several sources of passive income. The big advantage is that content posted on a number of revenue sharing sites, and some 100% AdSense paying sites, can provide a steady flow of passive income through Google AdSense.
