The minute we come through the matrix, we are hit with the reality of life. You cannot go through this life sleeping nor with your eyes closed..  You have discovered your first storm. the slap on the feet. WAKEUP you are here. The first encounter in the Bible is in Genesis1:2 Disaster. God immediately starts to restoring things back in order.He's good at that.. He does this all through His book.

When Jesus comes in to the Book He begins to show us and tell us of  His purpose he has in the earth.To bring restoration and peace in the Earth,[ our souls] and to the earth. One example of Facing the storm is in Mathew 14:24-33 When Jesus stayed behind to pray and sent his disciples on  to the other side. They were afraid of the unknown Christ that they could not recognize not the waves. A lot of things we are fearful of is not truly knowing and seeing God in the storm. If we can face the Storm in peace we must trust the spirit of God in the storm.I remember listening to a doctor tell me if I did not have a surgery I would die. That's a Storm.I went to prayer that night and the speaker said you shall live and not die and declare the glory of the Lord in the earth. There was only one other person there . So I knew it had to be me she was talking to. I had a choice. To trust the unknown spirit of the word or listen to the man. I choose the Spirit.

Three years later I was healed. Through the storm I still went to this doctor and heard him tell me over and over his theory and i told him truth. God said I was gonna live. Building relationship with the Father teaches us that he is there even when he is silent. He trusts to do what he has taught  us in  the past. Like a baby that has learned to walk. You do not constantly stand there when they go to walk but you have see them do it , knowing they may fall but get up . You go and do what you need to do.

Another Bible example is Jesus asleep in the boat with the disciples and the storm comes and they call out to Jesus for help.  He comes and stills the storm but lets them know because they do not know who they are and the authority in them to calm the storm. they get rebuked. Faith in the Savior in our storms is the anchor in the storm.Fear frustrates you and you cannot make rational decisions when you are frustrated. 

So the first thing to do is to remember to calm down,  pray for wisdom how to face this new storm. Write a book of remembrance of the things God has brought you through. Dates it started and ended. This will build up your faith. We have the tools in us to go through this life but it is our choice whether or not we use them. Spending time with God is important. He is the author and finisher of our journey. So we need to hear the captain of the  ship. WE are the living Epistles of Christ. All those in the Bible are gone on. It is our turn to write it in the earth. Showing our God is yet victorious in the earth still by bringing us out of the storm unhurt and try. Whether we come in on the ship or holding hold to broken pieces, we made it.
