Top strategies to instantly build traffic to your blog

There are a number of ways to get more traffic to your blog. Unfortunately, most blog owners either don't know about them or don't take the time to implement them. As a result, they end up with very few, if any, visitors. The most successful blog owners use a number of strategies to ensure that their blog always gets a high traffic volume. If you make use of the following tips, you’ll not only increase the number of visitors to your blog, you’ll also find that those visitors will be more likely to share your content with others and this will give you even more traffic for no more work.

=> Blog Setup

The first thing you need to do is make sure your blog is set up properly to attract visitors. Is it attractive? Is it easy to read? Does your blog title reflect the actual content in there? Can visitors comment on your posts and do you take the time to reply to those comments?

These are very simple matters that a lot of blog owners don’t bother to take into account when first setting up their blog, but they will make a huge difference to how much traffic you get and how long those visitors stay around, as well as whether they will come back for a return visit.

=> Search Engine Optimisation

If you want to get the most traffic to your blog, then it’s essential that you optimise it to make sure the search engines display it in their results. This means putting a little thought into your blog setup, (such as title, meta description, etc) as well as each of your posts, (keywords). Your main keyword should be included in your blog title and if possible, in the url of your blog. So for instance, if your blog is about gardening, then you would include the word ‘gardening’ in your domain name and in your blog title. It goes without saying that all of your posts should be about gardening also!

You also need to get some backlinks to your blog from other, related sites. These links should point at your main home page, (eg. Yourdomain.com), as well as particular pages/posts, (eg, yourdomain.com/gardeningtipspost). However, you can also help yourself by linking within the blog itself. So make sure if you are writing a post that is relevant to another post you’ve already written, that you link to it.

Linking is used to help the search engines find pages that they might not yet have indexed, as well as determine which of those pages are most relevant to a particular search query.  The more links you have to your blog, the more
