Remembering September 11, 2001

Without a thought of how we would feel
you turned our lives upside down
almost causing us to lose our trust.
in the goodness of all mankind

Although we shall never truly understand,
the logic behind the treatment we received
we know as we help each other to heal
our God will enable us to succeed

We shall pick up the pieces, united we shall stand
with heads held high, as our dignity remains
joining our spirits together, as we bring about
an inner peace to replace all our pains

Why some day we may even forgive,
while knowing that history shall never forget
the horror that was done by unstable souls
whose evil deeds can only bring them regret

And as we pray as our Savior did,
for all of you, wherever you abide
to realize that no matter where you go
from God and yourself, you will never hide

We shall pray for mercy from our heavenly Father
while praying for conversion to take place
especially enlightenment all will understand
it is only love that will save the human race
