Precipitously perched upon the precipice of truth are we.
Standing at the edge, teetering upon oblivion;
Around us, winds that swirl and blow with gale force-
Threatening our very existence, our lives, our reality.
So vivid is the threat that I tremble in fear, that with but one gust-
We shall fall, tumbling like tiny shells in a windblown surf,
To be broken apart, rendered separate evermore-
Nevermore to be joined.
Truth and reality become obfuscated within the impenetrable fog of greed-
Which overtakes all rational thought.
All feelings, all memories of joyful times dissipate and are replaced
By the bitterness of rancor upon the taste buds of souls that for so long
Knew only the joys of unity, trust and truth.
And now when the journey through time was to be taken as a unit,
The journey is taken alone and leaves but an indistinct and solitary,
Lonely set of footprints in the dust of time,
Where twas meant to be two.

These walls long to hear a baby's cry, and a child's laugh.
