Getting fit fast

The no nonsense guide to getting fit fast. First the focus will need to be on the goal and timeline involved. Since the goal is to get fit and the timeline is fast, the program will have to move swiftly. Starting with several corrections in your diet will allow for less but higher quality calorie intake. Workouts will need to focus on performing consistent cardio, stretching, and light weight training.

With a diet it is easy to become overcomplicated and forget the basics. Let’s start with what changes are quick and easy. First anything in the sweets or snacks category needs to be limited or even completely cut out of the diet. Protein intake is a must, and it has to increase. Substitute fish or chicken for the double cheeseburger. You will want your calories to come from lean meats that are low in fat and cholesterol. Lowering calorie intake will help shed weight. This will allow the body to maintain better energy levels.

Next you will want to zone in on cardio and stretching. Cardio is great for getting the heart fit. It will help burn calories and reduce cholesterol levels. It is the key for anyone looking to get into shape. Stretching is what allows the joints to become limber and loosen up. Many people who are considered unfit tend to have tight joints due to lack of stretching. Athletes and those that consistently workout and stretch will feel much less tightness in their joints.

Once a consistent cardio and stretching routine is created it is time to focus on light weight training. The key is keeping it light and high rep. The goal is to become fit, not a bodybuilder. Light weight training gives muscles shape. It will create long lean muscles that are not as tight as muscles that are used for heavy lifting. Keeping form of the lift as the primary objective will prevent injury and tone the body properly.

Now that a proper diet is setup one can begin to eat with confidence. There are many food fact books at your local book store that give calorie counts for items on most menus. Pay attention to these and plan your diet around it.

Keeping in line with the diet is performing a consistent workout routine. Cardio allows the body to gain energy and burn fat calories allowing for a leaner, healthier body. Stretching lubricates the joints and relieves tension and stress. Performing these two can really help someone become fit and if done appropriately with a solid diet can be done rather quickly. Adding weight training allows for muscle definition and is the last component to having a fit body.

The key to becoming fit is to plan ahead and perform proper research on nutrition facts and workout plans. Education goes a long way to becoming fit, and with solid effort can be done rather quickly.
