For Judas to betray Jesus He had to not know Him. He was one of the twelve but yet had no clue nor did he really care who Jesus was. From what we know of Judas as told in the gospels, it seems he was not serving God but money. He was a man of materialism as shown in his activities and how he objected when a pricey perfume was, to him, wasted on Jesus feet. It's easy to realize where his heart was.
As so many, he did not realize what he was doing. Which is not to excuse his actions. He did not do so because God wanted him to. God already knew he was going to do this but that does not mean that it was God's will. If a mother tells her child: "Don't go climbing in that tree; you'll fall and break a limb." When the child disobey and the inevitable happens, it doesn't mean that the mother wanted it to happen that way but she knew it would.
When Jesus told Judas: "Go do what you have to do." It's not that He wanted him to do it but it was inevitable. So it was meant more like: "Let's get it over with."
Even so I would not judge Judas. Only God can judge and only God Knows what was in Judas' heart before his last breath.
