Is it possible to define entrepreneurial spirit

by Sara Connor

Why work for 'the man' when you can work for you?  Give yourself that raise you deserve.  Work as many hours as you want . . . or not.  You are the boss.  Entrepreneurs can live the dream without a box, and overcome uncertainties because of  the entrepreneurial spirit that it takes to make it.

Living The Dream

After all, you can become successful if you make it happen and you create the success.  A job can become tedious, routine, and monotonous.  It is a highway leading to suburbia.  Having your own business is adventurous, pioneering and exciting.  It is the road less traveled to open frontiers and wide open spaces.  The sky's the limit and you are in control.  It is your ship and you are the captain.

There Is No Box

Entrepreneurs can see what many can't.  They have a vision of something different and better.  Many are risk takers and have a spirit of adventure.  Why work long hours to make someone else money so you can get a paycheck?  Find something you love to do and generate your own income by doing it.  While most people try to live outside the box, entrepreneurs already know there is no box.

Overcome Uncertainties

In today's shaky economy entrepreneurs can make their own way.  While larger companies are downsizing and cutting back, smaller businesses are rapidly advancing.  They are lean, mean and a force to be reckoned with.  It is quicker to turn a smaller vessel than steer a large ship through rough waters and out of harm's way.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit

Some people want to be entrepreneurs for the autonomy.  They do not want to be limited by a position, company or specific field.  For some the opportunity to make big money is always lurking in the back of their minds.  Others like to serve and provide quality and efficiency above and beyond the normal standards.  Entrepreneurs are idea people, movers and shakers.  They will undertake a project and commit to it with a zeal, seizing opportunities along the way.  The word "can't" is not in their vocabulary.

The entrepreneurial spirit is giving whatever it takes to become successful.  It's a driving ambition to take your greatest asset, yourself, to the next level.  Remember, it is your ship and you are the captain.
