Tailoring, one of the unique professions that players can choose in the online gaming world known as World of Warcraft. Tailoring is known as the art of cutting and weaving different kinds of cloth, with the assistance of threads and dyes, into useable items and clothes.
Tailoring makes use of the various cloths that drop from monsters and humanoids alike. The levels of cloth increase as your level does. Lower level mobs drop Linen Cloth, followed by Wool Cloth, Silk Cloth, Mageweave Cloth, Runecloth, Netherweave (Outlands), and Frostweave (Northrend.) There are also special kinds of cloth, such as Felcloth, which players find from demons and dark creatures.
As a tailor you get to choose one of three paths that allow you to create a specialized tailoring cloth for yourself. The first set is the "moon" set, this allows players whose tailoring is at the "Master" level of tailoring to create Primal Mooncloth at a Moonwell. Once the player is a "Grand Master" they can learn to create Moonshroud, the highest version of "Moon" cloth in the game as of Wrath of the Lichking. The second option is the "Shadow" path, which offers "Master" tailors Shadowcloth, created at the Alter of Storms, followed by the "Grand Master" version, Ebonweave. The third and final path of cloth is the "Spell" path, which offers Spellcloth to "Master" tailors, and Spellweave to "Grand Masters." Each set has specific gear that it is used to create, such as the Moonshroud set, Ebonweave set, and the Spellweave set.
When players create the highest level of cloth, they will create one (1) of that type of cloth, more if it is their path. Each time you create cloth, you get a buff based on what cloth it is. Each buff lasts 30 minutes and does not persist through death. These buffs are:
-Residue of Darkness: Ebonweave: Increases critical strike rating by 20,
-Moonshroud Residue: Moonshroud: Restoring 20 Mana per 5,
-and Nexus Residue: Spellweave: Increases haste rating by 20.
Like stated before, there are many ranks of Tailoring that use different kinds of cloth as you level. Each upgraded level has a character level requirement and a tailoring skill requirement:
-Apprentice: Required Level 5: No tailoring Level Required,
-Journeyman: Required Level 10: Required skill of 50,
-Expert: Required level 20: Required skill of 125,
-Artisan: Required level of 35: Required skill of 200,
-Master: Required level of 50: Required skill of 250,
-Grand Master: Required level of 65: Required
