Poetry: Her love

by Caitlin Wynn

Created on: March 04, 2010

"85"

I've been floatin' down 85.

This mask of stone as my disguise.

Sortin' through the mess of my mind.

You have a way of drawin' out my two sides,

the perfect picture of the great divide.

I slipped up and let you on the inside.

Now I can't hide behind my foolish pride.

You took the wheel from my misguided hand,

and drove away without a plan.

For the first time I'm on the passenger's side.

Your intentions etched on the map in my mind.
