COLLEGE STUDENT ALERT! I spent to much money on needs and make-up is one of the things I skimp on. My TOP TEN PROBLEMS! Here are some REAL experiences I have run into frequently while broke!
Problem one: I ran out of foundation!
Solution: Use water or basic moisturizer and rub in some of your facial powder. This will make the consistency of foundation and will last until you can get some more.
Problem two: My lip stick is gone ALREADY?
Solution: A lot of lip sticks are packaged with a twist and turn container. Take a Q-tip (I use my cuticle pusher)and scrap into the lip stick container. There's usually a good week or so of lip stick left in the container that has been shoved down in it.
Problem three: I don't have a lip stick that will match my make-up
Solution: Run some regular chap stick or lip balm over your lips, then take your eyeshadow or blush and dab on lips, then use a lip gloss or lip balm over that and TADA lip stick that matches.
Problem four: I don't have money to get my eyebrows waxed!
Solution: You can always pluck! However if you are in a hurry, grab your razor and CAREFULLY trim those strays. This will last only for a day but is less expensive than waxing.
Problem five: I ran out of lip gloss!
Solution: Throw on some vaseline, mix some eyeshadow in for color.
Problem six: I've shaven the last of my eyeliner so far down there's none left!
Solution: Take a tooth pick and rub it through your mascara wand so you get a good dark glob, then CAREFULLY smudge the mascara on the outline of your eye.
Problem seven: My foundation doesn't match my face anymore and I don't have money to buy a new!
Soltuon: Dilute your foundation by putting some water or lotion in it, so it's not so cakey. Then only use it on dark spots. Take your blush and run it over your whole face and neck. Not enough to make you red but just enough to match your neck and face. Then put a little bit of Vaseline on your cheeks so they will glow evening everything out.
Problem eight: My eyes are baggy!
Solution: Look in the freezer! Do you have a bag of vegetables or ice cubes? Put them over your eyes to get that cool feeling and help the puffiness going away then slather some moisturizer or skin firming lotion on them.
Problem nine: I ran out of my face wash!
Solution: If you have body wash use that and mix it was some regular soap, this way there won't be too many moisturizers on your face. You can use regular soap, this may leave you face dry so throw on some moisturizer to help.
Problem ten: I have no make-up and I want to look good for a date! AH HELP!
Solution: Find out if any beauty salon will give free makeovers. This way you'll get everything you need without the worry. This is an idea that shouldn't be used ALL the time. Or when you do have some cash go and buy something from that salon, just to show your appreciation!
