Flirting is an art. It involves psychology, acting skills, perfect timing and a strategy. Many men fail when trying to flirt with an attractive lady. Their attempts often turn out to be naïve, funny and clumsy.

If you want to learn to flirt with women, you need to understand the female mentality first. Each instance will call for individual actions so you should be able to make quick judgments. Learning how to flirt properly takes some time to fully master.

* Assess the situation *
To be successful at flirting, you need to study the situation. The first thing you need to find out is whether a lady is interested in a potential flirt. Women find few things more annoying than a zealous flirter if they are not in the mood.

Watch her closely. Is she alone or with company? If she is accompanied by girlfriends, she might be enjoying a ladies’ night. Refrain from approaching such groups, since failure is to be expected in most cases.

Examine her body language. Is she flirtatious? Or more conservative? Does she study men, does she seem interested in someone in particular? If she is simply enjoying a drink, she might be unwilling to get involved in a flirt.

* The manner in which you address a woman *
Once you have decided to approach a woman, you need to come up with a proper flirt strategy. Avoid being openly aggressive, most ladies enjoy a subtler approach.

Try to figure out her personality. Does she look artistic? Is she laughing openly, how does she talk to her friends? These small signals will help you in determining whether she is extroverted or shy, whether she is emotional or practical and whether she would fancy a flirt with a stranger.

Never attempt coming up with a catchy pick-up line. Such attempts will probably get her laughing instead of interested in you.

Ask her if you could introduce yourself. Smile and keep eye contact constant. Show her that you really like her. If she turns you down, do not insist on buying her a drink. You have missed your one chance to get her interested.

If she shows interest, unleash your flirting arsenal.

* Body language *
Women are very good at reading signs. Your body language will tell her much more than your words will. Try to show her what you are thinking and desiring.

Smile at her and use eye contact to show her that you have romantic interest. When talking to each other, touch her gently, nearly accidentally. Whisper softly in her ear. This strategy works faultlessly in clubs that play loud music.
