In the already confusing realm of dating, there will always be those guys who keep you guessing.  These are guys who rather than take a direct approach in asking you out or suggesting a more serious commitment, drop subtle hints instead. This might be due to shyness, a desire for the ego-boost one receives when getting someone else to make the first move, or any number of reasons.  

This leaves you to take the reins and direct the course of the relationship.  Whether that means simply asking him out for coffee, or taking an already established relationship to a deeper level of commitment, it certainly helps to know if the guy really likes you or not!  Following are some tell-tale signs that he does:

He seeks out your approval

When hanging out in a group of people and your object of interest cracks a joke, if he likes you, he will immediately glance at you to see if you are laughing.  When you're in the room, he doesn't really care what the others think.  The same applies to his stating an important opinion.  He will observe your reaction in hopes that you will nod your head in agreement.  When a guy likes you, your opinion of him is of utmost importance and he will constantly be on the alert gauging your reaction to the things he says during casual conversation.

He shares his interests with you

When people are attracted to one another, they want to share the things that give them the greatest pleasure.  For example, a guy who likes you might express a deep interest in your I-Pod.  He will scroll through your collection and strike up a conversation about his own favorite musicians.  If he says something along the lines of, "You gotta hear this song," chances are he's interested.  He wants you to experience joy in the same way that he does and he's also letting you know a little bit about what makes him tick. 

Conversation about movies, music, pop culture, and the like can be quite revealing, and the more enthusiasm he shows, the more confident you can be that he's into you.

He invites you into his world

Any guy who welcomes a girl into his group of friends definitely thinks the girl in question is a worthy mate.  Guys often place great import on the opinions of their friends, and if he brings you along on his social excursions without exhibiting signs of anxiety or hesitation, he likes you.
