I think I may have just killed Cupid but no, I do not believe true love is blind. Like other great debates (the existence of God, fate vs. free will, etc) we cannot prove that true love is blind, can we? It is not quantifiable; it cannot be tested in a lab and cannot be proven one way or the other. You can make a case for it but in reality it is inconclusive.

Beyond trying to make a scientific case what about a religious one? Speaking only about Christianity, even God's love is not blind. If it were, would there be a Hell? Would God ever punish if his love was blind? If it were blind, why pray for forgiveness or if you are Catholic, go to confession? Even in the ever popular wedding readings of Corinthians it does not read love (or charity) is blind.'

Upon saying that I believe that everyone has a breaking point. I do not believe you can turn a blind eye towards everything, especially if what your loved one is doing is hurting others or themselves, without possible serious consequences. I would suggest that true love can be all forgiving but not blind.
