Treasure Madness is a popular Facebook application created by zSlide, a company which creates and publishes social video games. Treasure Madness lets you become a treasure hunter, digging up entire islands in the quest for gold, supplies, equipment, experience, and treasures. Despite the seemingly simple nature of this game, it does require some strategy to take fullest advantage of it. This article will provide you some tips and tricks to use in order to become an experienced and successful Treasure Madness player.
In no particular order, here are some of the best tips that we can provide you with for Treasure Madness:
Equipment counts: you start the game with a simple shovel that you can upgrade. You can buy equipment later on for jungle, stone, water, and swamp terrain. Over time, the maps that you get access to will contain most or all of these types of terrain. You will need to gain experience in order to unlock these items, so make the most of what you can do with each type of equipment until you are able to use the next piece of equipment. Equipment can also be upgraded by using Museum dollars. The upgrades are very worthwhile as you get more experience in the game because they allow you to search the maps faster.
Gold counts: gold is what you use to buy most of your equipment, items and maps in the early days of your adventuring. Look for maps that specialize in gold (i.e. the Golden series) if you need more gold. The other option is to look at Gold density on the maps that you’re going to use (see below).
Items extend the game: more of these become available as you gain levels. They are all available for gold. We can’t overstress the importance of gold in Treasure Madness because treasures and other important items can be hidden in locked sections of the map. You need gold to buy items, equipment, and maps. Note: some items can be sent to you by your team members (more on those later).
Maps are not all the same: some maps have many different types of terrain, so the equipment that you have available to you will dictate how successful you can be on these maps. Also, note that each map has Treasure density and Gold density, which dictate how likely it is that you’ll find these things on the map. Hint: unlikely means you probably won’t find any. Very high, on the other hand, seems to correlate
