Wii Ea Sports Active is a great personal trainer for those wanting to increase their fitness level. Thus really can’t be classified as a game and should be treated as a workout disc instead. There are several things you can do to make your workout experiences more enjoyable while using EA Sports Active.

Your Profile

It is important that you fill out your profile completely and get your height and weight as close to normal as possible. The only downside is the weight only goes to 300 when it should go higher. Several people can have their own profiles so each new person who will be using the program should make their own profile. There are several avatar options but this really isn’t as important as getting your statistics correct so the game can accurately track you.

Leg Strap and Resistance Band

The leg strap that comes with the disc should go on your right thigh quite high up and be secure enough so it doesn’t fall off. It works best on a bare thigh and tends to fall off when it is on clothing. Some people sew a pouch into workout clothes to hold the Nunchuk remote as they exercise and might be an option for you. The band that comes with the disc is quite weak as far as resistance goes and you might want to replace it with something stronger.

Journal

You should try and fill out your journal as accurately as possible since it will help you set goals and get ona better path towards healthy eating. While the journal is quite basic it is also helpful and motivational to use as you workout so try and answer the survey each day as accurately as possible for best results with the program.

Start Slow

This personal trainer disk can be quite challenging if you haven’t had a workout for some time and it will leave you stiff and sore so you should start on the easy mode at first and do some 20min workouts. Once you do a few of these you will have a better indication of your fitness level and if your capable of increasing the tempo of each workout. Be sure to watch each exercise video before you workout so you know how to make the movements with the controllers. Some exercises will take time to master correctly since each exercise movement is different. If you have trouble stop and review the video to see where you are going wrong. Do each exercise slowly and soon you will get the hang of it.

30 Day Challenge

The challenge portion of the disc is great and you should try this too. It will give you a wide variety of exercise and introduce you to new ones each day. You can track your progress with the calendar and you even get rest days so you don’t stress your muscles too much. Once you complete this you can make your own custom workouts for more intensity and greater challenge.

EA Sports Active is a great workout program that will benefit those starting out with a fitness program. Be sure to watch each demonstration vide before you start so you know how to do each exercise correctly.
