Poetry: Today

by Wandering Muse

Created on: March 01, 2010   Last Updated: March 02, 2010

Is for picking up all the pieces
you left behind with me
shattered inside and out
and missing you and resenting you.

and it's for grinding away the sharp edges and corners
I've been cut up upon for so long,
smoothing down the loud rough shapes
into something gentler than that.

And it's for living and laughing and dancing...
but it's not for you to be forgotten.
