Brittany woke up to sound of her phone alarm was ringing off the hook. She pressed the snooze button on her phone, and rolled out of bed. She combed her hair and then put on her jogging outfit; she decided it would be better to take a shower after she went jogging. She grabbed her ipod off her dresser and then headed down the stairs; right out the door. She stretched really quick and placed her headphones in her ear and then turned the music to her work out mix. She then started jogging on her down her street. She jogged around her neighborhood for a good thirty minutes.
Brittany went back into the house and sprinted up the stairs to her room. She needed to get ready for her date with Josh. After she finished getting ready, she heard her phone beep. She went over to her phone and opened it up to find a text from Josh. The Text read:
Hey Babe,
I'm going have to change plans, I'm sorry.
Happy Valentine's Day.
Love you.
She was furious, but then again she remembered that Josh had said he might not be able to celebrate Valentine's Day with her, because he had to work. She cooled down and texted him back.
Hey baby,
It's okay, will we just celebrate tomorrow.
Love you and Happy Valentine's Day.
She set her phone down and started heading back to the bathroom, she figured she should just get in her pajamas and have a movie marathon of her favorite love stories. Brittany was just about to take off her dress, when her cell phone started going off. Another text. She opened her phone.
Hey Brit,
So this is the last time, but there has been a change of plans.
Meet me at The Harbor around 7:00. Okay, I love you.
Josh.
She closed her phone. She was afraid her cell phone would go off again and it would be Josh saying again plans had changed. She waited for a minute and no text message came in. She set down her cell phone and started getting ready for her date with Josh. She spent the rest of the day with her friends and then headed out to the harbor to meet Josh. She arrived and then received a text from Josh.
Hey Babe,
are you here?
she wrote back.
Hey, yeah, where are you?
Her phone started ringing.
"Hello?"
"Hey Baby, alright you are going to walk to the pier and make a right." She did exactly, what he said.
"Okay, now what?"
"walk straight and then turn left."
She walked down the pier, admiring the way the moonlight shined on the water and the stars looked like they were dancing across the sky. When she made a left on the pier, she had to catch her breath. Josh was in a tux at the end of the pier with a table set up for two, but what made her lose her breath, there were candles that aligned the pier and rose petals covered the pier that lead up to Josh. She looked up at Josh and smiled.
"You..did this?"
"Yes, I have been working on it all day."
She then walked down the pier and embraced him. He kissed her on the cheek. They sat down to eat their meal. When she looked back up at him.
"I love you and you are the best Valentine's Day Date, I have ever had."
"I love you to, Brittany Johnson."
The laughed and danced under the stars, when Josh got on one knee and proposed. She of course said yes. When they got back to Brittany's house, they had friends and family waiting for them. This was a Valentine's Day, none of them would forget.
