"I don't believe there is such a thing as a meaningless coincidence." ~ Ruthieism
One of the things that fascinates me about life, besides everything, is that it goes on, in spite of everything. Sometimes, it can feel like we, The Existential We, are a time bomb just waiting to go off! Yikes! Tick Tock goes the damn clock! It's not just all in my head, or is it? No really! Look at what just happened in Chile! The other day it was just Haiti. Then there are the time-bombs in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Israel! Aren't we all always riding on the fault line of some unexpected bubble just waiting to burst at some inconvenient, inopportune moment? But, of course!
Anything can happen at any moment, any place, any where in time, and it does. Just take a look at your life! Planned events, occurrences, dates, meetings, goals, objectives. Isn't anything that interferes or doesn't coincide with these dates and times inopportune or inconvenient? Will you ever complete all of your objectives, goals, tasks, dreams, and plans before they are interrupted by the inopportune moment? Or will you be one of the Fortunate Ones who gets love and also to live to 101? But we do have to "give a little to get a little and let our poor hearts break a little 'cause that's the story and glory of love". But boy is that life and defeating all of the innumerable variables or what! That was also Grandma Moses! And Moses, too! Although, he was 120! Maybe there is just something synonymous about longevity and the name Moses?
So what do we in the mean time? Especially when we hear (clearing throat) less than optimal news? Stop? Pause? Panic? Cry? Play woe is me? Live in fear and dreaded dread? Hell no, say it ain't so! We live life well each day and embrace the journey wholeheartedly!
But how do we do this? We keep on keeping on! We retire when we expire! We stop when we drop. We never say die! We love to live. We love to give. That's life. And if we must stop for a moment to rest, so rest if we must. We let go with fierce abandon - To ALL THAT IS. Alas, we surrender - to forces beyond our control. We finally live a life of faith, walking the invisible tightrope - 10,000 feet in the air blind-folded. We truly forgive. We truly trust! NO MORE FEAR. We laugh with a purpose. We play with a purpose. We speak with a purpose. We act with a purpose. We think with a purpose.
