Creating quality incoming links to your site is a great way of driving more traffic to your site. It makes your site visible to more viewers and also allows your website to get indexed quickly. Here are some ways you can achieve this

More visits come to your site when those who have subscribed to your site check out your updates. This is a very simple and yet effective method.

Pinging is a simple process that notifies search engines about your page. Today, there are many sites that allow one to ping their sites and blogs in a few easy steps. Two such sites are Pingomatic and Pingoat.

4. Social Bookmarking Sites.

Sites like Digg, Delicious and Twitter are examples of social bookmarking websites that are regarded as online communities where members can read, rate, recommend and vote on sites submitted by one another. Search Engines favor such social bookmarking sites and regard them as a good means to gauging the public’s interest in a website. Thus these websites tend to get indexed better and with higher search engine rankings.

 5. Article Marketing

Article Marketing serves a few purposes. Along with creating quality links, it also increases your credibility and popularity amongst your potential customers. When these articles get published on popular websites that already possess a high search engine ranking, it would raise the value of your website and allow it to get indexed much easily as well.

 6. Forums

There are many forums out there on any topic out there. Forums are used by individuals who share a common interest and would like to interact with one another. Joining forums relevant to the website that you are promoting would be an effective way to gain back links.

However, you should note that these links to your site should not be placed within the text of your forum posts. Rather, it should be placed within your signature that would appear at the end of your forum posts. You should also ensure that you always adhere to all the rules posed by forum owners and avoid getting banned by them as that would destroy your chances of ever using forum posting to boost your link building efforts.

A simple way to find forums that fit your niche would be to conduct a search on search engines like Google. In Google, entering “forum +Your Niche or Theme” would allow you to find more forums that fit your website.
