Tips for treating depression naturally

Incremental steps will always get you there as any banquet destined ant having just dragged the cookie home crumb by crumb will attest to. Mix the strategies up. Exercise is big players so find time to go for a walk, visit the pool or take in a spot of Yoga. With exercise whatever feels good is the ticket. House work is great exercise and it keeps the fleas on their toes. Our home environment is well important and this sort of exercise has more than one spin off. If however you’re hungering for some couch time invite your friends round and see if you can talk them into doing some of your house-work as exercise is good for everybody.

Diet and nutrition are corner-stones to great physical and mental health. So firstly get your friends round to knock you up a mint-deluxe feast. Go for lots of whole foods with heaps of colours. Cooking is great fun so Google some of the ingredients you have and learn some recipes. If the appetite is not at its best just keep trying different things. Often if the meal is prepared you will feel hungry once you start eating it. Think of some of your old favourites and get your friends to bring them round. Diet and exercise promote health and good self esteem but put all action points into perspective and set realistic goals. Goal number one is to be happy; achievable with small incremental steps.

Lateral thinking is very beneficial so jog to the couch and watch your favourite DVD. Taking time to rest the brain from depressing thoughts is vital and watching a few comedies might even draw a smile. A walk on the beach or a swim there is good, just go with whatever works. I would recommend some omega 3; so charter a boat and track down some unsuspecting Marlin or buy a can of Tuna. Health food shops can give you the run-down on Omega 3. Researching and learning about process gives a wonderful sense of taking back control.

It's always good to take a look at where some change might help in your life and a good psychotherapist is worth it here. If the job or lack of job is a bone of contention start putting it into perspective. 80 percent of people don't like their job so you’re hardly in a minority. Instead of looking at problems look at answers or at least start looking. The number one goal should be I want to be happy. Be honest with yourself and ask what these pills are trying to fix. There are many reasons for being depressed and many more good reasons to take a closer look at your life.
