The question over whether Pervez Musharraf is an asset or a liability in “our ongoing war on terror” is a significantly important and debateable one…. On the one hand, he is a charming, enigmatic, and politically powerful leader… while on the other, a brutal and repressive dictator closely guarding the political strings to power! In the meantime, the news reports coming out of Pakistan, make this ongoing dilemma abundantly clear.
Meanwhile, American and western policy - as usual - is to rush headfirst into full alignment with it’s own political expediency! This is the part that all politically disenfranchised, ideologically subverted, and physically oppressed people fail to understand, agree with, or readily accept. And, of course, there are good reasons for that!
No-one wants to live in a nation being crushed under the feet of jackbooted tyrants. No-one wants to have their Freedoms and Rights overridden by truly despotic laws, or regimes. No-one honestly desires to be tortured or in any way to physically suffer. Nor, should they!Such political abuses are simply unconscionable.
The real world is filled with such intolerant examples of utter tyranny on the part of its political leaders… leaders that gain truly significant aid, assistance, comfort, and support from the far free-er democracies. Without which, in all reality, they often couldn’t honestly maintain their hegemonies over their thoroughly abused and disaffected people! Thus, the outrage of these victims is quite justified at our untoward [but often necessary] political actions.

Thus, when these people inevitably or invariably overcome even the most thorougly entrenched political despots, new problems are unmistakeably generated toward the western world.
Rather than gladly welcoming us, and our benevolent ideals, they are usually: decidedly angry toward us, impatient in their dealings with us, and beligerant toward our fellowship and governmental constructions! Although some might say, “this is merely an unintentional side-effect of conducting international business,” I patently disagree. History teaches very important and significant lessons, to those who carefully observe it…
