Finding adequate space for your dog in any urban environment can be a challenge, but at least in the city of Cleveland, Ohio there are some great places to take your dog for a walk. While it really is not recommended to walk your dog on the city streets for a number of obvious reasons, there are very nice places to take your dog for a walk in nearly every location around the town. Most of the best places to take your dog for a walk in Cleveland are centrally located with easy driving distance, and provide excellent opportunities for your dog to get the exercise and interaction it needs to remain healthy. Here are but a few of the best places to take your dog for a walk in Cleveland, Ohio:



Clark Field Dog Park - Located on South Tremont this is among the best places to take your dog for a walk in Cleveland as it features a water fountain that can be used by people and dogs, offers 8 benches and waste stations and has a beautiful landscape design for your enjoyment.

Eastlake Doggy Park - This great place to walk you dog in Cleveland is located east of Route 91 on Lakeshore Boulevard. The Eastlake Doggy Park offers 30,000 square feet of space with ample parking and tables and benches.

Bay Village Dog Beach - Located on Lake Road, the park is only 60 feet wide by 300 feet deep, but it offers access to an area in Lake Erie where you can swim with your dog. The Bay Village Dog Beach even provides waste bags to accommodate your dogs needs.

Brunswick Dog Park - Located on Cross Creek Road, the Brunswick Dog Park offers a large area covered with mulch with fenced in picnic tables and benches. This is a great place to take your dog for a walk in Cleveland because it also has separate areas for large and small dogs to prevent incidents.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park - located just south of Cleveland, this national park allows dogs on all of it's trails, so long as they are on a leash of 6 feet or less. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is an amazing and beautiful place to walk your dog in Cleveland while viewing incredible scenery.
