An incredible amount of people seem to believe that "getting big" on YouTube won't be in the slightest bit difficult.  However, for those of you who have tried and who have failed miserably, then welcome to the article that just might help you out a bit.  Firstly, there is a very common internet principle that needs to be followed in many different sorts of online content production.  That principle is known as SEO, or Search Engine Optimization.  If you guys don't know much about SEO, or you just need a little SEO help than this article will definitely include a bit of information about SEO.

Now, in order to get big on YouTube or to even get a moderate amount of views you need to learn SEO.  Essentially, SEO is what gives the search engines (more specifically "Google" or Google.com) the necessary information needed to gain a high rank position within a search on a search engine website.  One way to do this is to use keywords.  Chances are, if you've already signed up on YouTube.com, then you have some understanding of what keywords are, if only a little.  Keywords are the words that certain websites will ask you to associate with your content so that when people search those words your content (depending on the SEO rank that those keywords have helped attribute to that online content) will be more likely to appear.  However, what most people aren't told is that you should pick words that will be likely to make your content appear first, rather than to just appear.  Now, this is much more difficult than it seems and can be the thing that crushes you to your competition on YouTube.  One website that will aid tremendously with ones SEO rank is https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExterna l.

Well, at any rate, there are of course other methods besides learning more about SEO trends that will help you build your YouTube rank, an that is to learn your target audience.  For example, every YouTube channel has a certain group of viewers that it wants to attract.  The best of those channels are the channels that designer every aspect of their page so that their target audience will be more likely to return, or comment, or rate, or to preform the ultimate goal and subscribe.     

One of the best ways to go about doing this is to comment on other, more popular, videos that relate to your content.  This way, people who are watching those videos will see your comments and they will be more compelled to view your channel and your videos rather than if you had comment on a video that was unrelated to your content. 

Also, it never hurts to make video response.  Now, video response are hard to understand.  Depending on popular the video is, and what type of video it is, your own video response can become just as famous as the original video; and if your video has better quality than the original, than you might just become even more popular.

Even still, a final methods (but not the only of three methods) is to post links in forums, and to other websites.  Links are one of the most powerful tools that a web-advertiser can use.  And if a link is in the right place it might just boost ones YouTube views more-so than you may have originally intended.
