Should the US government be in the business of telling doctors what they can prescribe to their patients? Absolutely not! First of all, what is the purpose of our government? Is it to dictate to the people what they can and cannot do? Not negating common sense; there are regulations and laws that help to guide society down a particular path that is equitable for all, but the government should not dictate anything to the people.

The government should echo the voice of the people, as it was established to execute affairs in favor of the people. When it comes to policies and procedures that affect the nation, the government has a duty to ensure that the best interest of the people are kept foremost.

The government should ensure that businesses; particularly at the transnational level, are conducting business ethically, and in favor of the American people.

However there arises an ethical dilemma, when large corporations fund the campaigns for up and coming political pundits. In return government officials pass laws and legislation that is favorable to these corporations and businesses.

Corporations may produce particular drugs and anticipate profits, however in a free and democratic society, people have the choice as to what type of drug they would rather be prescribed for their condition.

The government has been called to manage the affairs of the nation; which is an awesome task, and as soon as it loses sight of this in the quest to manage the affairs of individuals, we have slipped into communism.

The patient and his or her personal doctor, have formed a very close relationship, one that could not ever be formed with the government. Are they the professionals, are they conducting the tests, are they conducting the exams, are they evaluating the results? Of course not.

It is quite creepy, but I truly believe that Wall Street is doing its best to hijack the government. This is the source I believe, of the majority of these dictatorial mandates that affect the common man. Wall street is owned by the executive class, the elite class, the CEO's of transnational businesses, and the mega-banking money houses.

You better believe when these men and woman make a request, the government responds. The only thing that stands between the actual legislation of these proposals is you and I. If we take for instance Gardasil, which in Texas, was being considered as a mandatory vaccine for girls 12 and older, its origins I believe can surely be traced back to Wall Street.

If you ask the question why, the answer is money! If the government makes a vaccine or a particular medication mandatory, it guarantees a corporate profit.

No doctor should be pressured by those who are not professionals, to use certain prescribed methods or procedures. The medical field is much to vast, research and development yield new information daily, this is much too specialized for the government to stick its hands into as the authority.

See the quote of the late President Andrew Jackson: "Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories."

I will close by saying the government is comprised of people such as you and I, no special abilities or supernatural powers. They have a call to govern the affairs of the nation and not the affairs of individuals.
