How To Use Ebay
Making Money on E-Bay
There are many people who find themselves spending more and more time at home; the Mom with young children, the retired, the disabled and the unemployed. If you have a computer at home, and some spare time, then e-bay could be the answer for you.
I have been using e-bay on and off for over four years now, and whilst I am not a millionaire, I have had quite a lot of success in selling goods that I no longer use or need. I spent years donating bags full of things' to the local charity shops, and yes, I feel that is an admirable thing to do to help others, yet there are times when I need to make some money for myself.
I seem to have developed an attitude towards e-bay that works for me. For example, recently I was having friends coming to stay and one of the bedrooms was in serious need of re decoration. Knowing that this was going to cost more than I could afford, but I desperately wanted to do it, I turned my brain into looking for ways that I could achieve my latest goal. E-bay! Wardrobes, cupboards and hidey holes all got turned out and I was amazed, yet again, at how much I had accumulated that I didn't actually need or use. I sold some clothes that I never wear, and we all have some of those, shoes I had bought on a whim, a book that Aunt Susan had given for my birthday (a lovely gesture but she had forgotten that I was no longer 10 years old) and a wooden fruit bowl that no longer matched my kitchen so had got shut in a cupboard. There were quite a few other items and I was ecstatic to find that I had made enough by selling them, not only to re decorate the bedroom, but to re furnish it too shopping wisely on e-bay! You could do this too.
The internet is a fantastic and powerful tool, not to be taken light heartedly, we all need to be aware, be careful, and make our personal safety a priority. If you follow all guidelines with a sense of caution, you too can be successful as an e-bay seller/buyer.
First you need to set up your account, type either www.ebay.com or www.ebay.co.uk into your browser, (there are other site addresses such as e-bay Germany these are shown on the website) you will be taken to e-bay's homepage; before you do anything else, it's a good idea to surf and explore e-bay as a visitor, have a good look around, you will see that there are literally millions of items for sale. Some e-bay members may just be selling one item, some will be selling 20, 30, 100 items. This is a great way of doing some homework
