A pack of smokes
A pint of gin
Guess my friendship was worth a twenty dollar bill
Had you asked me
It would be yours
But cash meant more
Bad Friend, Bad Friend
Talk behind my back
Steal what I would give
Lies to serve your greed, your ego, your hate
And for you
My friendship’s price
One day of vices
Bad Friend, Bad Friend
I’d rather be alone
Than on guard
No more long afternoons chatting on my porch
Or trips to the pub
For my trust
Has turned to dust
Bad Friend, Bad Friend
I built high walls
But I let you in
And shared my home, my heart and I cared
I called you friend
Past tense
No forgiveness
Bad Friend, Bad Friend
But I told you
Many, many times
I do not forgive when my trust has been destroyed
Vices for a day
You were a
Bad Friend, Bad Friend
And not my friend anymore
