Global warming is a fact, not a fantasy. However, cars are just one cause of a problem that stems from countless sources.

If you ARE concerned that your car is contributing to the problem (and let's face it, they all are), you don't have to loose sleep over it. You can (a) take a few small steps to "do your bit" for the environment, and/or (b) point the finger elsewhere. Let's do both!

For starters, consider purchasing a more fuel efficient vehicle. Look out for window stickers on new cars or do some quick online research to compare the fuel efficiency of the different cars you're considering.

Also, try to reduce your driving JUST a little, tiny bit. Even the occasional car-pool or bike ride is worthwhile for our struggling environment.

Now for the finger pointing...there are a thousand other causes of Global Warming! What about plastic bags? Just because everyone's trying to make themselves feel "greener" by buying re-usable shopping bags doesn't mean that anyone actually USES them. Did you know it takes more than triple the amount of energy to manufacture a so-called "green bag" than a regular plastic bag? Now there's a new contributor to worldwide pollution!

And at the end of the day, just remember...we'll probably all be driving electric cars in a few years anyway.
