Why it's good to laugh

Laughter is like a reservoir that irrigates endlessly and flourishes our souls. It captivates our senses and expresses our happiness and joy in life. Ever been in a situation where you walk into a room and everybody is laughing about something hysterically? You haven't even heard what they were talking about and by observing them laugh, you start to laugh at them laughing? Laughter can truly be a contagious experience. Let's just hope that they weren't laughing about you!

Seriously though, laughter can lighten the effects of any kind of blues you may be experiencing at the moment. A friend calls you up when you are feeling really depressed, she tells you a joke to cheer you up, you have to laugh, it was funny, and you don't feel as depressed now. Laughter can alter and change the way you look at certain things in an instant.

Laughter can ease the pain of a broken heart, lift depression, if just for awhile, and relieves body tension. Your whole body will relax when you laugh and you will just feel good all over. If you are in a bad mood, laughter can enhance your mood considerably. It gives you more energy and an adrenaline rush throughout your mind and body.

We all have to find some humor to be able to get through life's ups and downs. When we feel down in the dumps sometimes, we tend to look for the funniest comedy in the video store to bring some laughter and joy back into our lives. Stress can melt away from a good hearty robust laugh. We need laughter in our lives to cope with everyday stress we have to deal with. Laughter can brighten and uplift a dull day, and restores our hope for a better tomorrow.

Laughter tends to make us more loveable and light-hearted. Someone who can laugh with us enriches our lives to the fullest. Laughing with someone shows you have a great sense of humor, and this can make many friends for yourself. Everybody loves to be around someone who can make them laugh, for they can generate positive enlightening energy anywhere. Anyone receiving this energy is getting a daily dose of the best medicine possible, laughter.

Make laughter part of your existence, for it can add years to your life. Laughter can give you strength and courage to embrace life with a positive and cheerful outlook. Life can be very hard sometimes to deal with, sadness and heartache can be an emotional rollercoaster ride for us all. We all need a natural cycle of laughter to become well-balanced individuals.
