Chapter XIV. The Untold Legend(Akara)

I could hear the crowd roar all around me, not in happiness but in disgust, Kruger was going to win. That monster, the one that put Tomoko in a coma, and nearly crushed Viktor underfoot. I couldn't even get off the ground, my bones were crushed, my body was torn, I had nothing left. The entire fight I couldn't even hurt him. What a way to end this tournament, making it to the final match only to be thrown like a rag doll by that colossal demon. This was more than a match, this was about duty, the responsibility of stopping Kruger before he hurt anyone else. Ironic that I was the one that got hurt, I gave great advice to Viktor, to give up when it got too rough. That's why he's watching me now, that's why....

"AKARA! GET UP!" It was a voice I recognized all too well, not Viktor's but Tomoko's. No wait that's impossible she was in a coma. Thought of her and our time together flooded my mind with happiness as well grief. I thought Kruger took her form me, but she's alive! Just to see her face one more time would be enough for me, then I could die happy. A sudden burst of strength  shot through my body as I rose to my feet. How that energy came about I couldn't say, but it didn't matter to me. I scanned the audience for Tomoko. There she was still bruised but looking better, standing right beside Viktor in plain sight. She was leaning against the railing on top of the wall separating the bleachers form the arena. Her long black hair blew in the wind as she continued yelling for my victory. She was alive and well, and me..........I could concede the match and we would be happy together. A burning passion I couldn't explain took over me as I sternly glared at Kruger. The audience erupted in shock from my recovery. It was now that my injuries starting to kick in and I winced in pain. My ribs were done, such excruciating pain coming in a all directions of my body, I could barely stand on my feet. The pain was all too real, all too convincing that this was a lost cause.

"Does it hurt?" Kruger chuckled as he commented on my apparent pain sadistically.

"Stupid question!" Kruger stepped forward several paces  to close
